The Tenebrae Service?
Tenebrae comes from the Latin word for “shadows.”
The Tenebrae service helps recreate the emotion of betrayal, and abandonment; the agony of Christ’s passion.
Our night is set in the atmosphere of darkness; to remind us that God walks into the darkest areas of our life as a Light.
Jesus knew the wounds of betrayal, the sting of rejection, the vulnerability of life itself.
During this service, we will be reminded that the story of Easter (our story) still brings victory and life over the darkness.
